Professional Experience

 

With three decades of performance experience, Andy has established a respected and versatile career across live performance, musical theatre, recording, television, radio, and touring. His musical theatre credits include The Production Company’s The Boy from Oz starring Todd McKenney, Assassins starring David Campbell, Jersey Boys (Sydney season), and the Tony Award–winning Avenue Q (Australasian Tour), which also received five Helpmann Awards. He has worked as Musical Director for Trevor Ashley’s Liza On An E at the Sony Theatre on Broadway, New York, and has toured extensively throughout Asia with Trevor Ashley.

Andy is currently Musical Director for country artist John Stephan, touring nationally throughout Australia. John’s career accolades include releases on more than 10 million albums sold worldwide, reflecting the calibre of artists Andy continues to collaborate with. Andy continues to tour nationally with Australian screen legend Tom Burlinson—star of The Man from Snowy River—a collaboration spanning over 15 years. His national and international touring credits also include Megan Hilty, star of the NBC television drama Smash, Eurovision Song Contest winner Conchita Wurst, Kate Miller-Heidke (Australia’s Eurovision entrant with Zero Gravity), Jennifer Holliday (Grammy Award winner for “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going”), Casey Donovan, and Dami Im.

Andy has also appeared on television and radio broadcasts, including Live from the Sydney Opera House: Diamonds Are For Trevor, a concert special filmed for Foxtel, featuring Trevor Ashley’s tribute to Shirley Bassey. Additional broadcast credits include performances with Frank Bennett—whose version of “Creep” was listed in the Triple J Hottest 100—Ed Wilson of Daley–Wilson Big Band fame, and Jeff Duff, with whom Andy has toured nationally and recorded albums.
